Welcome to the Alberta Rural Development Network. ARDN is a not-for-profit partnership of Alberta’s 21 public colleges, universities, and technical institutes. ARDN members work together to support and enhance the well-being of individuals and the vibrancy of communities. It draws on the strengths of rural communities, post- secondary institutions, and community based organizations to assist in the development of rural Alberta through education, research, collaboration and networking. The organization assists with the creation of community driven projects, provides opportunities to create new partnerships, collects and shares applied research and information, and works with rural communities to identify and address gaps in education training. The website will be constantly changing as we populate the site with new and existing research and information.
Please click on the video to learn more about ARDN. ARDN is a unique not-for-profit organization that connects the resources and expertise of Alberta’s 21 public post-secondary institutions to rural communities with an eye on the future who want to make a change for the better.
We have a constantly expanding calendar of events where we post events related to rural development. You can stay up to date with all types of ARDN and rural news by reading the News Stories and Rural Connector. Rural research projects and blog can be found under Rural Project Library – we encourage your feed back through the forum on the projects and blog posts. Under ARDN Initiatives you can learn about projects and events that we have hosted and facilitated.
ARDN CommunityMembership in the ARDN community is free and open to everyone. As a non-member you can view posts and find research information.
