Student Mental Health Project

Student mental health has been a huge concern across Alberta, specifically rural Alberta. The Government of Alberta has tried to help reduce the mental health issues experienced by students with a grant to increase services and provide support to the students. However, the PSIs in Alberta have not seen any major contribution or affect that would potentially alter the current student mental health situation in those regions. ARDN in collaboration with the 9 PSI member groups is helping research and implement a collaborative, systematic approach to address student mental health issues in those regions. They are developing a collaborative, cost-effective, beneficial and operational plan to increase student access to mental health services on rural college campuses.
